Winter Camping Painting

This painting was inspired by a night I spent in the mountains a few years ago in British Columbia. I worked with thin layers of interference colors to bring out the glow on the tent and the snow on the mountains:

I spent a long time on the glow of the tent and I may still refine it a bit. To start, I put down a layer of Titan Buff and let it dry. I then added thin layers of Quinacridone Burnt Orange and Nickel Azo Yellow. I finished off the glow in the middle with more layers of Zinc White.
To give the stars more depth I alternated with different shades of white and pale blue, made by mixing a bit of Pthalo Blue.
